My boys both use Prodigy and I have been making assignments for them in the program. Does anyone know what happens if they don't finish an assignment by the deadline date? I can't figure it out. It appears to just archive.

Sometimes if they know their assignments are difficult and they are near the end of the time they have to play (I make them play 10 minutes), they will skip a question and then it shows up as unanswered and it appears that Prodigy doesn't reassign it the next time. Does anyone know how to avoid this?

Also, if you have a membership, is there a way to force them to answer a certain amount of questions before they can explore areas of the site (without battling)?  Mine have been known to avoid battling sometimes so they don't have to answer questions. Other than policing them the whole time they are on there (which is beside the point for me since this is supposed to be independent) I don't know how to address this issue. I told them it is an issue of honesty, but other than checking in on the progress every day, what else can I do???

FYI--feeling grumpy. Apologies for the tone of this!!!

If an assignment is not completed prior to the end of the assignment period, it just archives it. I usually assign every week, but I set the assignment period to last for two weeks. Mine play for a half hour every day, so they can't really avoid battles for too long (though I do so have to police occasionally).

The developers love suggestions, so definitely contact them with ideas for improvement!

I would love to see them make the assignments page easier to search. I spent most of my time flipping between all of the curricula options, trying to find the correct assignments!

And I would love it if they would make it easier to reassign an assignment that needs to be redone for whatever reason.

Still, it's a great program! My kids love it!

Thanks! I think I will email them. I did set the completion dates for the assignment dates way out because I tend to forget to make new assignments. It does let you set an assignment to start weeks into the future which is nice. It would be nice if the assignments page would somehow indicate if they weren't keeping up with them.

 My kids love it also!!
