Guest wignet
My daughter was homeschooled until 3rd grade and now is wanting to return home. I would prefer to have her school on-line especially for math, as I am already schooling a 1st grader. We clashed when she was home before and I don't want that stress back. Was looking into WTMA but would like feedback. Thank you in advance. Edited January 2, 2016 by wignet
fourisenough
I can't speak to the math classes, but I am very, very happy with my DD's writing class at WTM Academy. I believe some classes are open for enrollment during second semester (beginning late-January). Good luck!
kentuckymom
I have no personal experience with homeschooling, online or otherwise, but my cousin pulled her two oldest (6th and 8th grade at the time) out of public school last year and started using K12. They are very happy with it, and especially pleased with how much flexibility there is for the oldest, who has learning disabilities. Guest b.boop.ak
I also just pulled my daughter out of middle school 7th grade. I am using Acellus (she already started a solid week). It's a very good curriculum (the math for algebra is very well taught). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MomatHWTK
Take a look here: http://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/homeschool-multi-subject-curriculum/?c=1 We use Plato and Discovery now but will be giving Study.com a try next semester. (Study is supposed to be less intense and we need that for a bit.)
J-rap
During a difficult period for my family, my 8th grader took a couple classes through IQ Academy, which is available in some but not all states. I think it may have merged with K-12 in some places. We were thoroughly (and surprisingly) pleased with it.

Garga
Ok--let me explain my above post. It's a mess, but when I try to fix it I run into technical difficulties. Apparently WTM doesn't like it when I cut and paste from an excel worksheet. The above post has a bunch of links I've randomly collected over the past 6 months. If I see anything related to online high schools, I cut and paste the link into an excel worksheet to look at later. I'll be researching this stuff over the next 2 months. You are free to browse my compilation of links. There might be something there for you, or maybe not. Your daughter is going into 8th grade so it's not high school, but maybe some of those links above are for more than high school. Or maybe they'll be something you can tuck away to use in the future if you prefer online schooling. I honestly don't know anything about those links. I just set them aside to worry about later. Garga
In fact, I think I'll add this link to my excel sheet! I might want to research a couple of the things other posters have mentioned in this thread.
Lanny
OP please understand that some "Online" courses are Synchronous, and others, like those of TTUISD, where my DD is enrolled, are Asynchronous. There is a *huge* difference. GL finding a great fit for your DD!
