Allison TX
Is anyone using this with an older child? 11, 12, 13? I want something similar to LLATL but with more rigor, would this fit?
Holly
I'm using it with my 13yo. She's a reluctant writer, and it's been a good fit. We used LLATL last year and prefer this over it. I'd say there is definitely more rigor and less busy work.
silver
I know the author has stated that she would not hesitate using it with an 8th grader. The website has a good description of what's covered in that level:http://barefootmeandering.com/site/lessons-through-literature (Scroll down to "Upper Levels.") TracyP
We have spread ELTL 5 over last year (dd was 11) and this one. We have also been using R&S 6 and the coverage of topics is very similar. I can't compare the rigor to LLATL, but I would not hesitate at all to use this with an older child.
Allison TX
Thanks! I'm going to order Level 5. Hopefully this will be a good fit.
