snickerplum
I'm trying to come up with a few new meal ideas, and I'd love some tried and true pasta sauce recipes from the hive (cream based, tomato based, whatever)! TIA!

Ali in OR
Not really a sauce, but about the only kind of pasta my kids eat is spaghetti and bacon. And they love it. Cook 12-16 oz thin spaghetti. Save 1/4-1/2 cup of the pasta water before draining. Dice 12-16 oz bacon into 1/4-1/2" size pieces. Cook on medium until cooked through. Drain off fat. Grate parmesan--1/3-1/2 cup (can you tell I never really measure anything when I cook this??) After draining spaghetti, put it back in cooking pot. Add the reserved pasta water and 2 Tbs. butter cut into smaller pieces; stir until butter melts. Add parmesan and cooked bacon and mix it all up. Serve.
