Melissa in Australia
firstly thank you everyone to responding to my post. I have been granted some money to buy the twins some aids to help with their fine motor development. I have spent a bit on things like tap tap, spinning tops, pattern blocks, various apps for ipad. We have a massive amount of Duplo, playdough toys etc. already. I have money left over and have run out of ideas. I have been told to spend it before the end of the year. suggestions anyone?? Rosie_0801
Uh, spaghetti? My mum had her grandson planting spaghetti to encourage his pincer grip because it broke if he used his fist. Don't buy fettuccine coz that's cheating. :p Jigsaw puzzles? It's hard to have too many of those because they get bored of them so quickly.
HomeAgain
PlusPlus comes to mind. You also might look into various tweezers (or even games like the Sneaky Squirrel/acorn one or Animal Upon Animal) and or scissors/squizzors. Magnatabs? Tracing aids - either Montessori shapes or Schoolrite alphabet. Um...Miniluk/BambinoLuk might fit in that category, too.
Arcadia
My boys liked the Marblestik, the lacing puzzles and the Wiki Stixx AU website http://www.skillbuilders.com.au/shop/skills/motor-skills/fine-motor
