HeWillSoar
With New Years Eve coming up, I thought it would be helpful to see what type people like. Sometimes I get different ones to try and end up not liking them. Also, please include an approximate price. TammyinTN
Moet & Chandon is my absolutely favorite! :)
SparklyUnicorn
I like Cava. Not officially champagne, but I like it because it's not too sweet.
medawyn
Schramsberg sparkling wine; the blanc de noir is my absolute favorite, but I won't say no to any. Missing champagne (and the occasional margarita) is one of my least favorite things about being pregnant.
Laurel
Taittinger. My parents like it so much that they named their dog Taittinger. I also like Veuve Cliquot.
zoobie
Rosa Regale is a fun one if you want a red to try.
MSNative
Chandon blanc de noirs is one of my favorites. Cava is fun and a great price. Roederer is also a worthwhile spend
Professormom
Vueve cliquot. Mum. We had Dom Perignon for our wedding, but that was a splurge :D Edited December 13, 2015 by Professormom
Seasider
My personal favorite Methode Champenoise is Chateau Ste Michelle's Sparkling Vouvray. My favorite true champagne is Louis Roederer. You might like a prosecco, LaMarca is popular and reasonably priced. ETA Looking at what others have posted, I'll second Tattinger, but add that I don't care for Dom Perignon. JFSinIL
I get a headache from anything cheaper than Cooks, which runs about $7 a bottle here. I am sure more costly bottles might be nicer, but we have always had Cooks. I perfer the spumante, but we get burt too. Could be worse - my folks only ever sprang for cold duck back in the day. ;-) Edited December 13, 2015 by JFSinIL

HeWillSoar
Thanks for all the suggestions! This will be so helpful to refer to when I'm buying champagne for New Years Eve.
