Katy
Last year we got her fuzzy pajamas and a large-print book about the history of her favorite hymns. She us wrote two letters all about how much she loved that book, and interesting things she learned from it. I was thinking about something similar regarding Christian history, but I think we got that book in a huge Christian bookstore in Tulsa, and I'd prefer Amazon this year to crowds. Large print option is a must. She needs reading glasses AND a magnifying glass, but she loves it.
vonfirmath
Any possibility of getting her a Kindle that she can make the print as large as she needs it? I've got good ideas for Church history. But having problems figuring out what the options are in large print books.
Katy
I would love to give her a kindle, but I'm afraid it would be useless. She's never seen the need for internet, doesn't have a computer, and lives in a tiny town where no companies have cell phone coverage. purpleowl
I think Mark Noll is a good author in this field, and I found this book: Clouds of Witnesses: Christian Voices from Africa and Asia. Might not be quite what you're looking for, but the large print requirement is much more limiting than I thought it would be! Editing to clarify that I haven't read this particular book; it's just what I found by him in large print. Seasider
Perhaps a subscription to Biblical Archaeology magazine (gee, if they're still even publishing it in print...).
