JFSinIL
99% of all my holiday shopping is DONE, and was done on-line. Amazon, Ultra, Think Geek, Hot Topic, Land's End, Shutterfly THANK-You! And big thanks to USPS and UPS - my UPS man brought me SEVEN boxes yesterday afternoon. Now on to wrapping...and finding stocking stuffers.
athomeontheprairie
I made a list this morning of everything I bought and the delivery dates... I didn't realize how much I'd bought! Wow. And I knocked every item we needed (new jeans and bedding) and almost all of Christmas. Yay! And I didn't even have to drive. Now to convince FedEx to come to my house (they've already cancelled 4 days in a row due to my muddy roads...)
Heatherwith4
Yes, I've done a lot of online stuff this year. I've been a lot less stressed because of it. I actually enjoy shopping in the store, but not when they're insanely crowded and not when I'm under pressure. :)
Southern Ivy
Except for 2 things we found at Walmart that were cheaper, and some Target gift basket type things, everything was bought on Amazon or directly from the companies. I love online shopping!
mamiof5
Joining the thread. Yup! Online shopping, good deals and free shipping? Doesn't get any better. I can't stand store shopping (it has gotten so bad that I order groceries from Walmart online), so online shopping and I are best friends :). The downside? I find myself buying more, so easy to buy stuff from the commodity of home while sipping a glass of wine...it's harder to say no to good deals ;)

I'm jealous of my mom and sister. It's not offered in my area yet. :( Edited December 2, 2015 by Southern Ivy
cjzimmer1
We've had boxes arriving every day since Saturday (Sunday too). And I still have stuff scheduled for most of the week. Less than half of it is Christmas presents most of it is stuff we needed around the house and I was waiting for deals. So between the Black Friday deals, Cash back on my Discover Card and Swagbucks on nearly every purchase, we saved a serious amount of money on things I needed to buy anyways and it was wonderful to not leave the house.
Seasider
And this year I remembered to have the boxes delivered to a nearby relative's house so my kid won't see them arrive! That is one drawback to homeschooling, kids being the ones to drag the boxes in! That can add to the excitement, but in some cases, just the packaging is a give-away about what's inside. I can't imagine price comparison shopping without the web. I remember years ago making the rounds from store to store before buying. Never again!

I'm going to have to give that a try. I place the order, dh picks it up... hmmm...this could be dangerous :) Edited December 2, 2015 by mamiof5
Southern Ivy
No :(. I'm jealous too! Will check out if we have it, but I doubt it...haven't heard about it at all :( It's pretty recent in Northwest Arkansas - typically where they do their market testing on things. We had self-checkout there long before other stores had it, too. My mom loves it, especially during bad weather. lol

SKL
Same here, isn't it great? I'm also doing more of my routine shopping online, e.g., coffee, vitamins, snacks, well, almost everything. The last time I shopped the regular way for Christmas was the year I had a 14mo and an 11mo to take everywhere with me. It was not fun. Amazon isn't that fun either, but it's a lot quicker, warmer, and drier. :)

rebcoola
Love online shopping!!! Last year the UPS guy was so used to stopping at our house he delivered a package meant for a neighbor because he assumed we were his next stop.
Lizzie in Ma
lol, I agree. Just checked tracking on a ton of Amazon stuff, lots of packages coming today! Have a few coming from Etsy this week, TeeFury too.
3sapphires
My kids have not even given me their suggestions yet, but I am not worried, because I know that I don't have to clear a day to go running around to the mall and all of the other stores. But, I have done my local shopping at an artisan's gift shop run by an Art Association here. I feel good about that and have gotten some really beautiful things! Guest
We are done here too. Not all of it was online, but most was :)
Kristie in Florida
Yup! There are currently boxes hidden in all the laundry I have to fold in my bedroom. I have a few more deliveries on their way and then I have to fold all that laundry and wrap presents.
linguistmama
I told my kids today that they cannot open anymore boxes from UPS. :) Tomorrow I will get wrapping paper and chocolate locally and be almost done. DH is still working on his list, sigh.
