zimom
If you have read these books, which one would you suggest for an older teenager to read? edited out backstory.... DC2 is 18, off to college next year. I want DC2 to read some books as well as take a self defense course. Any other ideas? ktgrok
Probably the Gift of Fear. From what I remember Protecting the Gift was more about parenting stuff, and what to teach your kids. So that would be the better book for you. But for one's own safety The Gift of Fear.
Katy
Katie's right if you're only going to pick one. But I'd pick both. Because even though Protecting the Gift is about parenting, there's a lot of statistics and practice discussions that are good. And in general, they are both knowledge I'd like my children to have. IdahoHomeschooler
Gift of Fear, but both would be good.

zimom
Thanks for all the replies. I went ahead and purchased both for DC2.
