luuknam
I'm contemplating finding a grammar curriculum/workbook/whatever, but I can't stand books that are full of badly written text that needs to be proofread and corrected. So, what are good grammar books that teach proper grammar rather than teach "fixing bad grammar"? (I hope that made sense) ETA: Are there any threads that have a thorough comparison of various grammar curricula/programs? I tried using the 'search' function, but that finds way too many threads about the grammar stage etc. Edited November 23, 2015 by luuknam
redsquirrel
I think First Language Lessons would meet your criteria.
Jackie
Michael Clay Thompson. The curriculum occasionally gives examples of bad grammar (the section on subject/verb agreement pops to mind) but to show why it doesn't work not as a "fix this".
