You would have to rewrite practices activities for your student.  Not having to recopy the verbisections alone is, for me, enough to warrant a student book as well.  You could make it work, if you had to, with lots of copying things down (or strategically covering things with sticky notes or some other device and doing it all verbally).  But my time is more valuable than that.

That does sound like a pain. It sounds like it would be worth buying the student book. Thanks for the reply!
