Melissa in Australia
Found out I will have angel flight for twin 1 for trip to Melbourne Tuesday to have his full leg casts put on plus reture flight all in the same day. it would take me a day each way by public transport . :hurray: Also found out that my teaching contract will most probably not be renewed next year. Sigh!

mom31257
Melissa, I'm sorry about the teaching contract, but the flight is good news! Dh is a public school teacher, and I hate that his contract is year-to-year. There's supposed to be tenure, but in our state, they can let you go at any time, for any reason. Done: breakfast and lunch for dh fed cats coffee To Do: breakfast plan meal for tonight (keeping neighbor's 4 kids while they go out) school: history, science, literature clean house lunch out grocery shop dinner watch the kids

SKL
Well, my computer died an untimely death overnight. It still turns on, but after varying amounts of time it will shut itself off because the fan doesn't work. It's not hot, because I have fans blowing on it from underneath, but it thinks the bad fan is a deal breaker. I am trying to get it to copy my files onto an external backup drive so I can transfer them to another computer. I went to Best Buy and bought a computer and all the software and goodies it needs. Now I am spending the day making the new computer do what the old computer used to do. So far I go the Internet and Office working (except Outlook, which I have to sign into, assuming I can remember my sign-in info.) Of course I have no time for this, but who ever does? This is not going to make it any easier for me to explain that I'm taking time off tomorrow for a volunteer scout thing with the kids. :/ I have a bunch of deadlines on the 15th. Today's list: Some work before the kids got up. [done] Kids up & out to school. Pay for milk for the rest of the year. [done] Donations picked up. [done] Clean kitchen and some clutter. [done] Laundry. [last load is in the dryer] A little exercise. [done] Buy new computer and stuff. [done] Configure computer etc. [done] Work. [hmm] Those overdue greeting cards already. Kids to gymnastics. Work at gymnastics. [done] Out to dinner. [done] Watch some shows at home. [done] Kids to bed. [done] Work. [hmm]

SKL
I got the new computer mostly working, except Outlook won't delete or move files. I will probably have to seek some tech support to get that to work. Other programs were acting unstable at first, but hopefully after a couple re-boots they will work right. I think I have access to all the files I need in order to finish my deadline work for the 15th. My old computer is still backing up, little by little, between shutdowns. :/
