beansprouts
Please share your color key for different types of timeline events. Thanks!
Alana in Canada
Ancients--purple Middle ages-green and I haven't decided on the others yet. I just draw the line in that colour--and the numbers, too.
beansprouts
The only timeline I have up is for the Ancients. Should I put up a complete timeline? The WTM mentions color coding different types of events like Birth and death dates, wars, political events etc., Does anybody do this? Ancora_Imparo
Red – Rome in Ancients, turning into Europe Orange – Africa Brown – Middle East Green – Far East (Russia, China, Japan, India) Teal – Ancient Egypt Blue – Americas BlueGray – Greece Violet – Bible/Church History Lime – Australia (Oceania) Ancient Egypt and Greece I only use in Ancient history. I have contemplated using a separate color just for the US, but I'm running out of colors :001_smile: Tracy
Colleen in NS
Black = birth and death dates of any historical figures Orange = scientific discoveries and advances Green = art and music events Red = political events Blue = book publication dates I took my categories straight out of WTM and ds picked the colours. :) And I only have the ancient timeline in use - there would be no space to put up a complete timeline here!
