Erika in TX
I have a copy of FLL. It's the first edition that contains levels 1 and 2. I'm planning on using it with my first grader. Do I need to upgrade to the second edition if I'm planning on using WWE also?
ScoutTN
No, the old one works fine. We just skip most of the narration, copywork, poetry in FLL and just do the straight up grammar. We do almost all of it orally - good for wiggly boys! I have started my kids in WWE2 in 2nd grade and just done our own copywork and narrations in 1st. I love FLL! Simple, quick and effective for us. Dd who has gone all the way through, notices how thoroughly she has learned things from FLL and how helpful they are in Latin and writing. I have no plans on getting the newer edition to use with the younger two. It's a great book; easy to get done, and easy to adjust the lessons as needed.
