PeterPan
I'll start. I'm trying to read 100 Activities for Developing Fluent Readers by Barbara Fox. It has been in my bag for a while now, but I seem to end up talking or doing other things at the Y, which is crimping my reading, hehe.
Princess Ariel
"The Autism Discussion Page: On the Core Challenges of Autism" by Bill Nason, based on the discussions from his Facebook page. I have had it a while but finally started it and ordered the next one as well.
prairiewindmomma
I am reading Kids on the Ball by Spalding so that we can use a Swiss ball to build up core muscle tone. The book is my OT's recommendation.
nature girl
I'm reading this...An interesting set of ideas, different from those I've read in other books. It's making me try to brainstorm new ways of schooling the harder/more intrinsically boring subjects. http://www.amazon.com/Beating-Boredom-Secret-Managing-ADHD/dp/1849059659/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1445352600&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=elephant+in+the+adhd
kbutton
Nothing right now, but I will be adding some things to my list after the NP results come back. I'd like to read Beating Dyspraxia with a Hop, Skip, and a Jump. Whether we get a DCD label or not, I think it could be really helpful. http://www.amazon.com/Beating-Dyspraxia-Hop-Skip-Jump/dp/1849051712

His thesis is that you can improve 80% of the dyspraxia symptoms just by getting them to an overall point of more strength. His program is relatively simple to implement. When will you hear back on your results?

His program is relatively simple to implement. When will you hear back on your results? Yes, that is where I heard about it. The easy to implement thing is crucial, and strength is a big area of need. It's the overall theme of his OT report! We meet with the NP on the 29th, but the report will come later. Still waiting on the SLP report--SLP wasn't feeling great last week. Still waiting on the hearing aids. I think we may finally get an estimate and a medical clearance form soon. She answers e-mail/phone calls once per week. Literally.

We had measurable gains from it. It is sort of an underwhelming read and is a very simple exercise program, but I am glad I decided to try it out and stick with it as it has been great for ds.

WoolC
I am just starting on Uniquely Human: A Different way of Seeing Autism. I also have in my pile to read FLIPP the Switch Strengthen Executive Function Skills. I loved Uniquely Human, I have my husband and my mom reading it now. It provided more understanding than any other single resource I've come across yet. I'm finishing up NeuroTribes The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity by Steve Silberman right now. It has been a fascinating history of autism and how we've come to where we are today in the research and the therapies available. It's been very helpful to me as we figure out which therapies to pursue.
