Ottakee
My friend wrote a book for kids adopted through foster care and those adopted past infancy. She would love some feedback from any adults who they themselves were adopted. She is looking for reviews/comments on the book she could post on the kickstarter page (with name or just initials). If interested, check out the link The entire text of the book is at the bottom under the video clip and you could message me your comments/reviews. Here's the link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1367769515/as-real-as-it-gets-a-picture-book-for-older-adopte Thanks. Comments from adoptive kids and/or parents are also welcome. Ottakee
Thanks. If anyone wishes to read and message me privatley that is fine. I know that not everyone is comfortable sharing the face that they were in foster care/adopted. Even initials is fine as well if you don't want to share a name. Kristie in Florida
My sisters and I didn't have the privilege of being adopted before we aged out at 18. But I enjoyed the book. I don't have that real life experience that she needs and I'm not in contact with the foster children I knew in the various houses that were adopted. Ottakee
Kristie...thanks for your input. I am sorry you aged out. Amanda is working at taking in a 16 year old boy who is 1/2 sibling to her older 3. They just.located him and don't want him to age out.
