MEmama
How about the clearance sections of your favorite shops? REI outlet, Sierra Outfitters, etc.
Minerva
There's not much there. I spent a good deal of the insomnia hours surfing around and didn't find much.

J-rap
How about the clearance sections of your favorite shops? REI outlet, Sierra Outfitters, etc. Was just going to say the same thing! Fall is sometimes the best time to buy summer clothes -- they're all on clearance! Other than that, check online clearance/sales at sites like Old Navy and Lands End. itsheresomewhere
amazon has quite a bit on clearance. I bought several pairs of shorts for DD that were under 3 dollars each.
shawthorne44
I once lost a lot of weight before a Caribbean trip in December. I found shorts for myself at an athletic supply store. Even ones you wouldn't exercise in like woven fabric double-pleated bermuda shorts. I didn't have kids at the time, so I didn't look for that. Tap
Try looking at brands that cater to the Surf crowd or are common on beaches like Roxy. They often have warm weather clothes all year round. Quicksilver is another one. I have also bought summer items at Lands End in the fall before.
plansrme
Target still has boys' shorts in the stores (in Atlanta anyway) and online. No idea about girls' clothes.
kiana
I'd also recommend checking out thrift stores if that's at all a possibility, as many people will be selling off summer clothing at this time of year.
