Guest ChrisAnn
Hi, my name is ChrisAnn and I am new to this site. I have a daughter who wants to attend The Word of Life Bible Institute. She has a difficult time retaining math and has been working on basic math for 4 years. My question is how to write this on a high school transcript. The Bible Institute does not have any mathematics classes. I hope someone can help. Thank you so much. ChrisAnn
Reefgazer
You will get far more answers to your questions on the high school board, so you may want to re-post this question over there. A few thoughts on your situation: 1. You would not explain any disabilities on a transcript; a transcript is mainly a document for grade and credit recording, along with grading scale and test scores. You might explain that in another part of a college application, although where exactly would be something veteran college mom's could explain better than I. 2. In most cases, you will need high school level mathematics for your daughter's transcript, but that can mean many things. Also, check out the math requirements for admission to any college your daughter wants to attend. 3. A few details on your daughter's age, goals, and past courses would be helpful. JanetC
Head over to the high school board! If she has been studying basic math for four years, you can put four years of basic math on her transcript. There are a couple ways to do four course titles. Name it by grade level studied: Basic Math 9, Basic Math 10, etc. Or, name it by topics: Basic Math - integers and fractions, Basic Math - decimals and money, Basic math - geometry, etc.
