jen3kids
Ok, I'm sure this is a dumb question, but I've never had a turkey dog before, so... Do folks just use regular ketchup, mustard and relish on turkey dogs? Or is there some other special topping to offer? And, what brand is best? I'm selling food at my school's Harvest Festival again, and this year we're offering turkey dogs in addition to bbq beef and vegetarian chili. Thanks, Jen
Lady Marmalade
A plain old turkey hot dog is indistinguishable from any other cheap Oscar Meyer-like hot dog. It's been a couple of years since I've bought them, but they were a regular staple here for a while because Jennie-O turkey dogs cost less than a buck for a package of ten (I think they are now up to $1.50 per pkg here). And, for cheap turkey dogs, they really aren't bad. So yes, regular ketchup, mustard, relish, etc.
SparklyUnicorn
Yeah I concur with Lady M. They taste the same as other cheap hot dogs.
marbel
I don't think they taste the same as other hot dogs, but if I was serving them I'd still serve the typical hot dog condiments. They're still hot dogs! :-)
