Guest OliviaD
Hi, my son is in Teaching Textbooks 3. I see that there is some math facts practice. Have any children who have used it for a long period of time find that it is enough for math facts practice, or should we supplement? Thanks for you help. Tonia
We only used it for one year - for us it just wasn't enough daily practice and it moved from one topic to the next fairly quickly without the review that my daughter needed (we used the 6th grade set). Jess4879
We add in math fact practice with iPad, games, etc (xtra math, etc). I also add in more challenging word problems.
OneStepAtATime
Honestly, I think this is really going to depend on the child. If the program is working well for your family, but it seems they are not retaining math facts well, it is easy to supplement, play games, do some real world practical application math on the side to add in additional practice. Caviar
I don't use TT, but all of my children do use Xtra Math - it's free! And, we also use the free, base version of Big Brainz - Timez Attack. My 7yo is already on his division facts! He's mastered all the others with the use of these two free programs.
