Reefgazer
I'm sure this topic has probably been beaten to death here, but I did a search and can't find what I need to know. Where do I go to find a sample AP Biology syllabus on the college board website? Is there a central repository for these things on that site, or at least guidelines for making the syllabus? I'm sure that information is there, but I don't really know how to navigate there. I already made up an account with the College Board, but can't find the link to the AP Biology discussion board or syllabus guidelines. Reefgazer
Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for and didn't know how to get there. Now that I am there, it seems that the required syllabi are very "busy" and not streamlined and clear. Gonna be a lot of work... ETA: Why don't people seeking to teach an AP course jut use the sample syllabi provided? Are they under copyright? Do potential AP teachers take these and just adjust them for their own use or what? Also, I am accustomed to one lab exercise per week at the college where I teach. That doesn't seem to be the norm with AP labs; it seems there are only a handful of labs. Anyone know why? MarkT
You may want google for AP syllabi as well. Some may have extra fluff.
AFwife Claire
If you message me your email address, I can share mine with you. I think what the CB really looks for is having every curricular requirement clearly marked, so I put them bolded in brackets. It does make it look really busy. This syllabus is not my "working" syllabus that I hand out in class.
