ILiveInFlipFlops
I came across it on FB originally, but I'm not sure if it came for somewhere else first. It was written by a well-known author (I'm pretty sure it was a woman), who said that when she finished a book, all her drafts were donated to a college library, which was painful to her because she was embarrassed by them but she knew they might help other writers, so she kept donating them. One day she received a note from a reader who said that reading the author's terrible rough drafts gave her the confidence to try writing herself, and she had just had a book accepted for publishing and wanted to let the author know. Does this ring any bells with anyone? I want to share it with my budding but shy writer, but I can't seem to track it down. Thanks!
