Heatherwith4
DS8 had a stomach virus last week. He was back to normal by the weekend. However, I am a bit concerned because he has fallen asleep today and yesterday during silent reading and he fell asleep today during a car ride. None of this is typical for him. He's eating and drinking normally now. Any ideas? Should we take him to the doctor or give it a little time?
Junie
If he has a fever, I would probably take him in. If he doesn't, it is probably just his body trying to recuperate. Hope he's feeling better soon!
bolt.
I wouldn't. Kids fighting sickness often 'sleep it off' -- and adults probably should too. I don't access healthcare resources for stomach flu, ordinary fevers, or being tired while fighting s virus. Those are all pretty normal to me.
Heatherwith4
No fever. My instincts tell me he's just taking some time to get over it. Just wanted to get some other opinions, too. :)
Tap
I would guess it is just his body repairing itself after being sick. My kids often sleep extra for a week after getting over an illness. I wouldn't worry unless some new symptoms start to show up like a rash or unexplained fever.
