Robin in DFW
Old chemicals need to be tossed...how do I do this safely? Some of them are probably WAY past their expiration. None have a dispose date or anything. They are mostly harmless chemicals used for home purposes. Can I just dilute and flush? Thanks, Robin
SkateLeft
It really depends on the chemical. We google the Material Safety Data Sheets for each chemical before disposing to make sure we're disposing of it properly.

Erica in OR
When we got rid of chemicals from an older set that was gifted to us, we were able to take the non-home-disposal stuff to our local trash/transfer station on their household waste/hazardous waste day (for free). If it has labels, they're easily able to evaluate and dispose of according to local and state regulations, although they took stuff without readable labels too.
