Ginevra
I'm sorry if I'm being kind of lazy by not finding it in other threads. :) I have paid almost zero attention to anything web-based, because our home internet is very limited (mifi satelite hotspot only). However, when I am at my office and DS comes with me, the internet there is Fios and is unlimited. Sooo, what I would like to do is have DS use the web-based science and history on Tues and Thur when I am at work. It would save me having to try and scramble late in the day because it isn't getting done while I am at work. Specifically, we are doing Biology and American History, 1860-present. Currently doing Civil War. Thank you for your help!
HomeAgain
Mystery Science is free. It goes up through 5th grade, though the biology stuff is only active in the younger grades. They'd still be good for a 5th grader, I think.

amsunshine
Plato Life Science through Homeschool Buyer's Coop is usually around $50 per year. Don't know what the price is right now, so you might double check.

kitten18
For supplemental videos I really like Crash Course on YouTube. They have playlists for different history time periods and playlists for biology/anatomy and physiology.
edeemarie
Virtual Homeschool Group has an "At Your Own Pace" biology class that looks pretty decent. We are just getting started with General Science.
