Tammi K
So, before I try to re-invent the wheel, I'm wondering if anyone has a recipe for a yeast raised bread, that contains alternate non-grain flours (almond meal, coconut, etc) . Gluten is no problem. I'm hoping to find something that behaves like 'real' bread where added gluten helps maintain the loaf. Anyone have anything like this in the recipe collection? MSNative
Bumping. I was actually online looking for the same thing. Elenas pantry has some interesting recipes. Hope you get some good responses.

snickerplum
Gwen's Nest *may* have something. It doesn't use alternative flours (regular, whole wheat, or white whole wheat is suggested), but you let it sit in the fridge for a week. It's decently low carb, has good texture, and tastes a bit sourdough-y.

Gluten is actually only in wheat-based products, and maybe in some oat (contamination), so what you are requesting is technically Gluten-Free. Here's a Sweet Potato Roll recipe -- you can sub-out the regular flour for a GF flour mix: http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/sweet-potato-rolls You could also probably find a similar recipe using regular potatoes. An almost zero-carb recipe -- Oopsie Rolls -- http://www.tasteaholics.com/recipes/low-carb-keto/basic-oopsie-rolls/ A banana bread recipe -- http://civilizedcavemancooking.com/recipes/desserts/paleo-banana-bread/ A nut-butter based bread -- http://paleogrubs.com/sandwich-bread-recipe a bunch of different nut-butter based bread recipes: http://eatdrinkpaleo.com.au/the-best-of-the-paleo-bread-recipes/ and here: http://paleogrubs.com/bread-recipes

Thanks, Lisa for the recipes. I'll check them out. But, just to clarify. Gluten is not a problem. I'm not looking for gluten-free. I was hoping to find some recipes that add gluten to alternative flours so they can rise. I'm diabetic but not gluten intolerant. I'm looking for low-carb yeast raised bread. I'm not finding much that looks tasty on the internet so I thought I would ask here.
