arnold
For those who have done this style of eating, I have a few questions: What does your fasting day meal plan look like? Did you lose weight, if so how much? How much weight did you have to lose when you starting eating 5:2? Did you have any unexpected side effects? Laura Corin
Hello. I have been eating this way for over eighteen months. Today is a fast day. I will have cups of tea with milk through the day, a whole grain cracker when I get home, some home made mushroom soup while I make supper, then a supper of lean protein (usually fish) and lots of veg. That gives me a bit of leeway for some fruit or another wholegrain cracker/boiled egg after supper. I lost thirteen pounds over about six months. Now that I am a reasonable weight for my height and also going through menopause, it keeps me stable at this weight (5'4", 132 pounds). I walk around 12,000 steps a day and do yoga once or twice a week. This is just what I need at this time of life. No side effects except that I felt a bit shaky at the beginning. My body seems to have adapted now though. Best of luck.
