If it is just to view and print, Safari (the web browser) or iBooks is good enough. No need to install more apps.

If you want to write on the pdf, adobe reader is free but not as friendly as notability.

Thank you. I'm don't need to write on the PDF, I just want to be able to view the material.

 

I have the PDF files saved on my computer, but I'm hoping to be able to view them on the iPad. Is there an app that I can upload the files to, that I can access from my iPad?

If you already have itunes installed on your computer, you can just use that to copy pdfs into your ipad.

If you don't have itunes installed on your computer and you don't wish to install, you can use OneDrive, DropBox or any of the cloud storage apps on your computer and ipad.
