Carpe Diem
Hello, There was a post recently where someone mentioned skipping some chapters of Conceptual Physics. I don't remember if it was due to a time crunch or feeling those chapters were not needed. I am wondering which chapters were chosen to skip and why. Anyone know the answer or recall this post? Thanks!
bugs
LoriD gave a suggested schedule with optional chapters in this thread (see entry #4) : http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/350602-before-i-reinvent-the-wheel-anyone-have-lesson-plans-for-conceptual-physics-hs/?hl=%2Bconceptual+%2Bphysics&do=findComment&comment=6528843
MorningGlory
I skip the heat/thermodynamics and the states of matter chapters because that material is most likely covered in the student's chemistry course. The edition I use is an old one. It has 40 chapters, and my class skips chapters 18-24. That still leaves a full year of physics. HTH!
