MomOfABunch
Talk to me about math options. DS2 just finished Singapore 1A and he hated it. He did well with it, just hated it. He got through basic addition and subtraction. What could he do next? He wants something fun....
Kerry Blue
Do you know more specifically what part he hateed? The writing, the methods, the pace, etc? Would he prefer more hands on? Some more specifics would help people with what other curriculum to suggest.
MomOfABunch
I think something more hands on and possibly faster paced may work better.

AimeeM
Miquon :) Definitely hands-on and you can move around the topics as you please.
Sarah0000
We're doing Miquon very laid back, and every now and then "testing" with just the Singapore 1a and b textbooks. Miquon is more like play time, and Singapore is more like lesson time so he appreciates that that part is very fast.
MomOfABunch
Is Miquon enough math by itself?

Sarah0000
I've read on here that Miquon is a complete program. We're only about to finish up Orange and we've dabbled in Red, but so far it seems complete in terms of the concepts it covers. But different programs focus on different things, and while, for example, Miquon covers addition within ten, it didn't specifically cover (again, not yet at least) addition facts that make ten like how RS and Singapore introduce pretty early. Maybe its just a difference in sequence though.
