J-rap
Math is not my daughter's favorite subject, and so is not something she has worked to keep up. Does anyone know of a chart or website that can help refresh her memory? She only had classes through Algebra 2 in high school. She did well in them, but it has been a couple years now! Jen in NY
Aleks? Alcumus? Khan Academy? I'll come back and add links when I have a laptop.... Good luck!
mathmarm
Alcumus is not likely to help prepare a student for a college placement test. Look on the schools website and contact the testing center at the school it is likely that they have a PDF of the exam or a study guide available. Aleks and Khanacademy are both good places to start--they may wind up being all that you need actually. Use paper and pencil as you work through the online math though. The pen and paper are vital for some students.
Annie G
Call and ask which placement test they use and then look online for some prep. The two most used around here are Accuplacer and Compass.

klmama
Look on the college website to see if they have practice test materials online. They may have some specific to the test used there. They may also have links to other sites with useful material, such as this one: http://www.aaamath.com/ You could also have her use an ACT test prep book to get an idea of where her gaps are.

Sebastian (a lady)
Our CC uses Compass. DS didn't place into the course I wanted him in. I had him review using ALEKS for several weeks. I set the course for algebra 2 and the. Had him take the assessment and work through what he didn't know or remember. He also printed the list of sbjects for the Compass test and went through them to be sure he covered what would be tested.
