purpleroses
DS is a rising senior. He already took AP English Literature and Language. He's doing a senior thesis next spring for graduation. What other English courses can he take? I want him to have four years of English and prepare for college next year. It doesn't help English is his least favorite subject. AngieW in Texas
I'm having my dd do Literature of Graphic Novels. I'm still trying to figure it out though. She has already done English I and II at the cc. My middle dd did Literature of Fantasy and Science Fiction for her senior year after English I and II at the cc.

Junie
You could do an author study for 1/2 credit. For instance, Tolkien. Read several works by Tolkien, especially the ones that are not as well known. Read a biography or two. Write a paper. Or instead of studying one author, you could do a comparison of two or three authors.
purpleroses
World lit of a certain region? Asia, Africa, China? Medieval Lit? Gothic Lit? I'll ask him if he'll consider Medieval Lit . Medieval Lit sounds good! Maybe we'll also look into Classical Studies with Composition and/or Traditional logic via Memoria Press. Or Lit of the Ancient World & Expository Writing/Rhetoric via WTM academy.

Kareni
Here is what my daughter did throughout her high school years. Some of these were done at home, others at a homeschooling resource center and still others at the local community college.
