wathe
Someone had posted looking for science videos recently. Physical science in particular. We started "How thing work" physics course (University of Virginia, via Coursera) today, adapting to youger kids (mine are age 6 and 7) by skipping the tests, and interspersing the lessons with the corresponding Eureka! videos. Kids are eating it up. It's very well presented. Much of it is above my kids heads, but they are still getting quite a lot out of it. ETA: Course is free!

cintinative
I have been watching the video from UVA for this course (available free online) and agree--he is very good. Will have to check Coursera.

silver
If one is just watching the videos and not doing the rest of the course (reading, quizes, etc), how young would this work for? This is the sort of thing that my son likes, but I'm wondering if it would be over his head.
