Laurel-in-CA
If your old one (Bosch, gas) was quoted at $650 to repair and you'd already paid $70 to diagnose the problem? My oven door's not shutting, getting progressively worse. They're quoting me $225/hinge to replace, plus labor. Or would you wait until winter? I hardly bake in the summers and heck, we can just put a chair in front of the door to make it shut all the way if we really need to. WWYD? Tap
Since you know what the problem is, can you google how to fix it yourself?
Laurel-in-CA
New one, probably $1K or so, equivalent stove. We could go down a little in features and get around $800, Can't find the hinges online....unless they're charging me $225 for the hinges I saw listed @ $168. Hmmmmmm.
