dauphin
This came up in the well-prepared student talk SWB gave at lunchtime today. SWB mentioned today that Diane Wheeler had a lot of information she could share!

Lori D.
There are a number of very helpful past threads on NCAA eligibility and homeschooling in POST #5 of the big pinned thread at the top of the high school board: "Transcripts, Credits/GPA, Accreditation, NCAA, College Applications, Scholarships/Financial Aid, Career Exploration -- links to past threads here!" Reading through those threads will give you a beginning feel for how to approach high school requirements to be NCAA eligible -- AND you'll find out who else on this Board has "blazed that trail" for you, so you can ask those WTMers specific questions. ;) Here are a few of those threads linked in the pinned thread: Navigating NCAA and planning high school - help, please! dauphin
<3 you Lori D.! Thank you for posting! I also saw the blog is coming up! Maybe we can coax them into posting on that there as well!!
Lori D.
<3 you Lori D.! Thank you for posting! I also saw the blog is coming up! Maybe we can coax them into posting on that there as well!! They might do that; it's just that it's just a very specific topic that applies to just a very narrow range of homeschoolers on these boards that they may not get to it for quite awhile, when there are SO many BIG, immediate high school topics that apply to most or many homeschoolers. In other words, don't get your hopes up for an immediate article on the NCAA when the blog is up and running. ;) In the meanwhile, look for threads tagged with NCAA, or try searching for NCAA threads; lots of great info has been posted on these boards! :) BEST of luck to your rising high school athlete! Warmest regards, Lori D.
MysteryJen
Just chiming in here. The rules of the NCAA are constantly changing so what is true for past years may not apply to you. That is the biggest problem in asking for advice. Another is the lack of concrete information the organization is willing to give out.
