Crocheters - Is there a good book of stitches?

Recommended Posts

I vastly prefer Japanese patterns if you are looking for patterns. They are done all in diagrams that are very clear and easy to understand, unlike U.S. patterns that are all written out in code. The Japanese diagrams would also be helpful in designing, because you could use the same approach when designing your own creations.

I should add that any Japanese magazine probably contains all of the basic crochet stitches. Mostly it's simply a difference of how many loops you put on the hook and how many loops you drop off at a time.
