daughterofsarah77
We will be using Analytical Grammar for my dd's 6th grade year. I am wondering what others have used along with that to round out Language Arts when using AG. Thanks! Dawn

Mom2OandE
We used Beyond the Book Report, Vocab (the one recommended bye AG) and IEW. Next year I'm throwing in Lightning Literature and possibly Bravewriter.

5ray2006
My rising 6th grader will be taking the following courses at a UMS in the fall: IEW Narnia Analytical Grammar Literature 6 (various novels)
Penelope
Writing With Skill for composition, a spelling program, and a literature list for assigned reading with organized discussion about some of the books. In sixth grade we also did a little bit of dictation still. We did some separate vocab work, too, but dropped it when Latin became more time-consuming. SilverMoon
My DS who wants to use AG next year for 7th will also use Rod and Staff's spelling 6, a homegrown literature course, and for writing he'll either continue in the vintage Maxwell Texts (School Composition > Writing in English) or perhaps Lost Tools of Writing. Momto6inIN
My to-be 6th grader will be doing the 1st season of AG, Worldy Wise 6, the first 14 weeks of Wordsmith Creative Writing, and finish up AAS. She'll also work her way through her reading list, mostly just writing summaries/evaluations a la WTM, but throwing in a Progeny Press lit guide for Crispin.
