CrispyBiscuit
My friend's 42-year-old husband died in a tragic accident a few days ago. She's asked me to help pick some music for the funeral. He was a good country boy (loved cattle, etc.). Any suggestions? I know he liked Rascal Flatts.
Orthodox6
Go to Google and type this: "country music" funeral You will pull up sufficient hits to make good choices. There are articles and message posts about this specifically. I'm sorry your friend is suffering so bad a loss.

Katy
There are some great older country versions of The Old Rugged Cross that I thought were nice at a funeral we recently attended.

fraidycat
My Grandma passed away Mother's Day weekend. We had Go Rest High on that Mountain, Amazing Grace, and then my Dad played guitar and sang this song: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=24cqKEjAALg
Unicorn.
I had the words to "When I get to where I'm going" put on the funeral cards at my dad's funeral. My son requested that song many years ago to be played at his funeral some day. Holes in the floor of Heaven is another favorite

LucyStoner
If the funeral is at a house a worship, be sure to check with the officiant. They may have guidelines or even an approved song list. I've known families who were left scrambling at the last minute because the music wasn't coordinated with the church.

Bluegoat
There are a lot of great country songs that would work for a funeral. Will the Circle Be Unbroken - lots of versions and it works for group singing too Take Me Home, Country Roads - lots of versions of this as well I'll Fly Away - I like the version by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings but it might be too up-beat I'll Be There In the Morning - Townes van Zandt - maybe not obvious for a funeral but I think it could work
