yucabird
We have a company BBQ tomorrow afternoon, but my morning needs to be spent out of the house. So I wish to do as much prep tonight as pos. Can I make this-style broccoli salad http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/trisha-yearwood/broccoli-salad-recipe.html tonight? (i.e., I know I CAN, but will it taste okay tomorrow afternoon? (I'd fold in the bacon and seeds before serving.))
unsinkable
Yes, I make this salad ahead/overnight most of the time.

suzybluecheese
I make a version of this salad. It is so good! Mine has shredded mozzerella and dried cranberries instead of raisins. I would say that putting the sunflower seeds in last minute is a good idea. They do tend to get soggy.
unsinkable
I like craisins in this, too. I've also subbed different smoked nuts (almonds and sunflower seeds) and left out the bacon at times.
Delighted3
I make a version of this salad pretty often. I think it is better if the vegetables marinate over night in the dressing. I add the bacon/raisins/nuts right before serving. HTH, Joy
