I'm looking at a bag for ds for extended weekend trips. I want to condense so he has one, maybe two, bags. Right now a weekend trip requires 5+ bags because I don't have anything adequate.

He needs to pack 3-5 day's clothes. Two pj shirts. One bedding set (sheet, comforter, pillow, waterproof pad). Meds. Toiletries (small shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, small bottles of mouthwash, soap). First aid (allergic to adhesives, so a gallon ziplock bag with gauze, wraps, etc).

Is the linked bag big enough for fabrics? Then I can get a non-fabrics bag.

Could you switch to a sleeping bag and camping (part inflatable) pillow?

Packing cubes (ebags has good ones) and folders (Eagle Creek I think is the brand we have) really work well to condense clothes and organize stuff. You should be able to get everything in a large backpack with the camping roll attached.

An army duffel or Navy seabag is the way to go. They last forever practically And hold a lot.

We have four or five around here, both DH's and my issued bags, plus extras I bought while in the service.
