shanezomom
Can anyone compare the two programs? Roman Roads Media is new to us but OWC looks really well done.

3andme
There's a brief comparison of some of the differences in this thread from someone who has used both.
JudoMom
I've done both. I had purchased the next Omnibus book I needed when I had the opportunity to review The Greeks. To sum up, I haven't cracked the Omnibus book and I am purchasing the Romans and will continue through the program. Wes Callihan simply has knowledge I do not have. My boys enjoy the lectures. I like the workbook format, and the included discussion questions make good essay prompts. Omnibus is very good as well. If The Greeks wasn't in DVD format, I probably wouldn't have switched. The questions are good, the book introductions are good, and the teacher support on the CD is good enough. The only thing that I feel is truly lacking is Wes Callihan. I did add history to both. Spielvogel & Great Course lectures are a great way to add enough for a history credit.
Pronghorn
We are using Roman Roads The Greeks and enjoying it. The reading is a bit heavy for us, but we will continue. My daughter is really too young for the program, so I am hoping her progress will speed with age. We have not done the tests and papers but are planning to do them along with a thorough review next year in ninth grade.
melmichigan
The last thing I need to do is look at more curriculum, but I'll be interested in the Y3 coverage of Dante when it comes out this summer.
