Mom25girls
AARGH! Was hoping for a quiet end to the year, but we're entering the fourth quarter and I have NO IDEA what my 9th grader should do for literature. Thus far, she's read How to Read a Book Epic of Gilgamesh The Buried Book The Illiad The Odyssey Aeschylus I Aesop: The Complete Fables Sophocles I Euripides I Aristophanes: The Birds and Other Plays The Myths Of Greece And Rome Her history studies will center on Ancient China (and a bit of India) so I'd really prefer to mirror them in literature. My first high school student studied Aristotle (On the Heavens, On the Soul and Metaphysics), Mencius (The Book of Mencius) and Euclid (Elements) during the fourth quarter. I really appreciate any assistance.
EndOfOrdinary
I was going to suggest the Red Tent (ancient Biblical lands) The book is not Biblical. The author just wrote it in that time period. SO good. However, it is not ancient china.
EndOfOrdinary
You could do portions of the Ramayana (ancient India)
