Canadians - "Contact Canada" Geography Textbook

Recommended Posts

Can you post a link to the book? We're Canadians, but I have not found a good book to use for high school geography. I was just debating whether I should let DD take AP Human Geogrpahy next year. I would love to look at the Contact Canada book , and maybe use it with your quizlet questions. Thank you for posting this!

I had a hard time finding them on Amazon.ca.  They would be snatched up pretty quick.  I ended ordering the textbook through Amazon.com

The textbook:

Contact Canada  ISBN 978-0195414899

The study guide:  I bought this used from someone online if you can't find it used then you can buy it new here.  It is worth every penny.

My study guide is older than the one they are currently selling.  I was fine with that fact.  I'll list the other books it "suggested" the student read but remember the new guide will most likely have different suggestions.

This atlas: The Canadian Oxford World Atlas   ISBN# 0-19-541320-2

The Backwoods of Canada Paperback – May 25 2013 by Catharine Parr Strickland Traill http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/1489567089?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
Isobel Kuhn Mass Market Paperback – Aug 1 1987by Lois Hoadley Dick

Two of the books suggested were no longer available so I substituted them with:

Canada: A Portrait in Letters, 1800-2000 Hardcover – Oct 21 2003 by Charlotte Gray

David Thompson: A Life of Adventure and Discovery Paperback – May 1 2010by Elle Andra-Warner

If you have a copy of Microsoft's OneNote, feel free to pm me and I will send you the daily schedule I built for my kids. I wrote it for a one semester class, 90 days.

Thank you so much for all the links! I searched on Amazon.ca but couldn't find Contact Canada. I didn't even think I could search on amazon.com. The book is currently not available on either website, but I will keep looking. Thank you for sharing this.
