Susan in TN
Oooh - that's neat! Dh often takes the kids so we will definitely try this one!
blackjackoaktree
I forgot they had these! When I looked online though, my zip code sends me to a regional distribution center. I didn't think they did classes there, but it says there's slots open. Everything else within 20 miles is full. I'll have to keep an eye on it for the future though! school17777
Thanks! I got one of two slots left within a half hour drive!
desertflower
Thank you for the suggestion. I was just thinking about something like this and didn't know exactly where to start.
MeghanF
Thank you for posting this! We always forget the projects at Home Depot and Lowes and I've wanted to do something like this with the kids for a while. Most of the stores around us were already full! Sarah0000
What age group are the Build and Grow workshops for?
LaCEmom
I think Lowes recommends the clinics for 5+, but I've taken, and registered, tag-alongs as young as 2 without any issues. Thanks for sharing OP!
pitterpatter
I believe they are recommended for grades 1-5, but I've seen younger and older there. Just be sure to get there on time. After about 10-15 minutes, they'll give your spot to anyone on standby. Also, be sure to take enough adults to help. One parent for four littles isn't going to cut it. All but the oldest or most experienced children will need help. What age group are the Build and Grow workshops for?
Jackie
Yay! DD is finally old enough for these and she'll have so much fun with a root box!
displace
Thanks so much for this link! I was just thinking of making a plant unit study. Even if we don't use it now, it'll be perfect for future studies. I'll do both with the kids at Home Depot and lowes. Looks fun!
displace
Do they do these often? I didn't see future workshops.
JRmommy
They both do them monthly.
Slojo
Too late for my area! Maybe I can pick up the boxes as a kit and we can just do this in our home basement.
