mo2
Possibly a dumb question, but do you read first then listen to the lecture? Or listen and then read? Does she tell you which sections to read and when?
regentrude
We read first and then listened to the lectures. I seem to recall that it was clear from the course handbook which parts each lecture was discussing.
swimmermom3
Everyone here has a different preference to the read first or listen first question. You may want to try it each way and see what resonates most. In the course guidebook, at the end of each lecture, you will see "Essential Reading" suggestions. If I remember correctly, the first 2-3 lectures cover context and introductory material, so you can just listen. By the third or fourth lecture the essential reading will show: The Iliad, Book I, or something like that.

mo2
Perfect, thank you. I was just wondering how I would know what books to read before each lesson. If it's written somewhere, I'm good to go. :)
