I learned how to play chess again at the Scout thing.  I am still very bad at it.  I don't have the patience for it, I think - tactics and strategy and all.  Gotta get up early with dds and head out for our hike.  Hopefully the rain will have stopped and the temperature will be mild.

I tried to play chess once.  It wasn’t a good thing.

Good Morning!

Happy Saturday!

My goal for today is just to survive it.  I have had a horrible migraine that just won't let up.  The pain right now isn't terrible, but the fogginess is really, really bad.  I feel like doing anything might cause the pain to spike again.

Good Morning!!!

COFFEE!!!!~D (not ready yet because I got distracted when I was making it last night, but it’s almost ready)

Saturday!!!

The weather is absolutely beautiful. I heard a mourning dove when I opened the door to let the cats in. The bad part about this is that we have had one storm this whole entire winter and that is a very bad thing.

Don’t know what I’m going to do today. I did my grocery shopping last night when DH was gone taking DS to camp. The little girls have a birthday party for a while this afternoon, so there will be a time when there are no children around. Svengo.

Good afternoon!

I am having 2nd coffee.  We hiked our hike this morning with full backpacks and my body is pouting just a bit.  My new hiking boots did pretty well.  We had an unexpected stream crossing and my feet stayed dry even though they were submerged.  By the last couple miles I was feeling a blister form on the ball of my foot which is not usual, so I will need to look into that issue, but my foot didn't feel like it was going to crack in half, so that was a big improvement.

I had lunch and registered two kids for tutorial classes when we got home and now I'm ready to banish goats and collapse for a while.  Except I need to brush the Pooch before he gets a bath.

Coffee!

I'm tired of not being able to get on ITT!

Two weeks until school break and we deep clean. Three weeks until next Whole30. 100 days until camping (cabin). Hoping to get a van and have Matt start school this month.

I started CBD oils this week. For the first time in about 18 months I can put my pain on a scale of 1-10. Not even the percocet did that. And that smell my grandma used to emit? That was pot, apparently. So, that's new.

I bought IEW video lessons for manchild.

Just curious about what your pain scale is.  Mine apparently is different than yours (which is ok, I'm just curious.)

(I have no 10 on my pain scale.  10 is passed out and unable to answer.   I have never been there.)

Praying for you.

I say 1-10 or "more than 10" because at that point it doesn't really matter. 10 is unbearable. I have only passed out from pain once and do not remember the pain.

I reached a really bad point, between the black mold and pregnancy where I was in so much pain that I never got out of bed. I got out of bed to go to the bathroom and shower, and I lined my shower up with dinner so I could eat with the kids. Afterwards I cried everyday. I spent months in bed because everything hurt and I cried every time I sneezed or coughed (back pain). I wouldn't have put that on a scale of 1 to 10 because it was debilitating. At some point I figured that was never going to end and I started moving again. Doing school outside of bed and eating. It was awful but I figured it was my only choice. When the doctor told me about lupus he wanted me to speak with a rheumatoid doctor to get prescription marijuana but my insurance wouldn't pay for another specialist as I had already seen three that year. I joined a lupus subreddit and everyone jumped in and told me to get CBD oils but it would cost over $100 a month and Matt wasn't working. I got them on Monday and I would have put myself at an 8 on Wednesday, went to the chiro and back up for 48 hours, now at a 3. I'm on 1/2 dose because I'm new but might not go up at this rate. It's $130 a month! It doesn't make me high, it supposedly helps with inflammation and my nausea is mostly gone.

(((Slache)))

My arthritis med is mostly covered by insurance and a program by the pharmaceutical.  I'm not sure what it costs per month (dh handles all of the finances) but I think it is maybe $50/month.  The retail price is $1000/month which in not doable.

My pain scale:

3 -- just barely able to function; might be able to drive kids to activities

4 -- unable to drive; might be able to go to an event if it's important

7 -- childbirth without epidural (or with an epidural that didn't work 😞 )

8 -- screaming in pain; I have only been here a few times with some of my migraines.

9 -- I haven't been at a nine yet, but it would be take me to the ER for IV pain meds.

This is my new pain scale.  When I was in childbirth with dd13, I told the anesthesiologist that my pain was a 3.  When he saw the monitor he said that it should be a 7, so I revamped my pain scale to more or less match what the hospital was using.

I don't do pain scales.  I actually hate pain questions.  The answer to pain is "yes".  How much pain?  "yes".  (I can usually tell if pain is unbearable because I start vomiting nonstop but I can't tell from the sensation itself so much.  Pain tends to be all encompassing and I can't narrow it down most of the time to a specific location.  I threw up for 14 hours straight when I was in labor with ds.  Labor itself was 73 hours.)  I went to the ER for a kidney stone and the ER doc didn't believe that I was in pain because I was walking around normally and was cracking  jokes.  He did a CT just to humor me or something and then came back to apologize for not believing me because of the size of the stone.

I also don't do questions about what kind of pain.  Stabbing?  yes.  Throbbing?  yes.  etc. etc.  All of the above.  At the same time.  Unless I have a specific injury - then I can pinpoint it.

Doctors don't like my pain answers.

Good morning!

Lots of rain and wind last night.  There was a flash flood warning for a bit, but nothing right here.  Wind chime was a nice accompaniment to hot flashes during the night, lol.
It just kept getting warmer all night long and now it's 66 degrees!

Church and Sunday school.  Dd12 baked apple oatmeal cookies for her class.

Coffee!

Good Morning!!!!

COFFEE!!!~D

Sunday!!!

Church!!️ DH can come to church with us now, since the Supreme Court said churches can be at 25% capacity. But he’s got to leave Sunday School and go pick the kids up from camp.

I had to go find Jeannie’s portal to get on ITT. It’s the only thing that works. I feel like I’m in the Chronicle’s of Narnia or something. Or maybe Alice in Wonderland, falling down the rabbit hole.🤣
