You know, saying "ignore this thread" to this group is like saying "don't push the big red button!"

Homeschoolers.     They always think the rules don't apply to them.

Coming out of my long time lurking because I couldn't ignore this thread..  :leaving:

School and work!!!  I think I have a meeting sometime today. I did not open my laptop all last week, which is a good thing, but now I have so much I need to get done. Ugh!!! I need to make a list. Or twelve.

Good morning!  It's The Queen's favorite day!

Dd14 said she caught a snowflake on her tongue and dd11 got one in her eye.  😁  I have yet to see a snowflake, but maybe they will make another appearance later today.  Dd14 still does not have a winter coat.

My least favorite aunt has made an appearance this morning, which explains my emotional angst and anxiety of the past couple days.  Hopefully things will settle down soon.  Have to leave in 20 minutes for dd14's orthodontist appointment.  She is hoping they give the OK to get her braces off.  I'm in the middle of folding laundry, but the rest will have to wait until later.

Coffee!

Good Morning!

Happy Monday!

I've been up for awhile, but things kept keeping me from my computer.

Dd10 just finished school.

Dd12 hasn't started yet.  (She has another case of the I don't wannas.)

Dd14 and dd16 are working on their own.

I'm working on my to-do list for this week and my goals for 2021 list.

I need to find my 2020 goal list and see how much of a disaster 2020 has been.

Dd14 got a nice surprise at the ortho and they took her braces off right then and there!  We'll go back later this week to get a retainer.

Laundry is nearly finished, but I can't fit any more socks in dh's sock drawer.  I may have to quietly disappear some of them.

Not sure what else I should tackle today.  Dog towels or pile of old clothes.  Christmas gift craft or Advent calendar craft.

I made a phone call. 🏆

It is snowing. ❄️

Yay!  It's a Morning Update Booyah!

FOR TODAY

*Drink your coffee

*Stay focused and positive

*Don’t freak out

*Remember, stabbing people is wrong!

*Are you wearing pantz?

There is a steady leak under the kitchen sink (where we are remodeling).  I have wedged a dog bowl under there and need to remember to empty the bowl every hour or so.  Dh knows about it but he has his pesky day job to attend to and I'm not qualified for higher plumbing duties other than bowl wedging and emptying.

Our violin lessons are back to virtual....  in 10 minutes.  Dd is a bit nervous about it.  I'm trying to be a calming influence, lol.  🤣  I'll try to update later and let you know if we survive it.  😜

You know the rules!

John's transformer, Mary's glitter pens and my bullet journal are here. I wrapped all the things.

Further research regarding hormonal birth control and lupus is positive and we are go. I am optimistic about future flares and pain levels.

Slache (or Anyone), is there a weighted blanket you recommend? Dd22 says she "wouldn't mind" getting one for Christmas, lol.

I got the Wal-Mart ones in a pinch and do not recommend. There was one that came highly recommended by a hive member and looked great but they were $150. I still plan to get those. As in 3 of them, so not today. I'll look for the linky dink.

We have these ones and they are great.  The kids love them.   Definitely get ones with a removable cover.

I gave Juliet her breakfast and could not figure out why she was just sitting there looking at me and not eating it.  I forgot to sprinkle the tiny amount of treats on top.  🙄  Spoiled dog.

Yep.

Last week when Chester was having all the tummy problems, we would give him scrambled eggs and then a special canned food from the vet, and now that he is back to regular old kibble, he's feeling a bit put out, lol.

Next time do boiled chicken and rice.

I hate it when I send a child on time out and then forget about her. Baby whacked her sister because sister beat Baby to answering the phone. So, Baby got sent to her room for a while. And then, sometime later I hear, “Mommy..... can I come off of time-out now?”  (Insert Head-whacking guy)

I have not made a gift list yet, much less begun shopping.  I think we are finally nearly all set for dd17's birthday on Friday.

I haven’t even begun to think about shopping yet. I thought I was doing great by ordering our Christmas cards. Apparently I am waaaaay behind.

My poor kitteh Lupin has something going on with his tummy: he throws up everything. He's been to the vet twice, they've done x-rays which are all normal, I've tried every kind of kibble as well as single-ingredient canned food (lamb, which he threw up while he was eating). He's been eating prescription kibble for a couple of months; at first he was fine, but then he started throwing up that stuff daily. So my cousin recommended an elevated, tilted food bowl, which she said worked wonders for her pukey cat. I bought one. So far the only improvement is that he's throwing up liquid instead of undigested food. o_0

I win!

This reminds me once of when we were going through customs after seeing family over Christmas.  They asked if we had anything to declare.  We said "no".  They said "No?  Not even Christmas presents?"  I told him, "They don't like us very much. . . "  (We really didn't get any presents but then we hadn't given any either.)

I haven't done Christmas cards.  I am on the fence on if I should do them.  I was on the fence last year too but ended up doing them.  I won't write a letter this year anyway.  There is nothing that I want to share with anyone who I'm not in more immediate contact with.

This is Neko.  He's gotten better - he only throws up about once a week now rather than daily.  I do the elevated tilted bowl plus mix pumpkin in with the canned "hairball control" food in the a.m. and Fortiflora kitty probiotics mixed in with the rest of the canned hairball control food in the the evening.

I haven't really started Christmas shopping yet.  I know what I"m getting for the most part, I just have to do it.   We don't really have much to buy though.  All the grandparents are getting picture calendars.  Oldest dd is getting a lock box for her important papers, my mom also has a birthday so I think we're getting her wireless headphones.  Youngest dd is also getting wireless headphones.  Ds is getting an ipod.

I got nothing for dh but we tend to buy house stuff and wrap it for each other.

I'll run into Walmart early one morning before it gets crowded for little stocking stuffer stuff.

Okay, this thread prompted a conversation with dh and I just ordered ds's ipod.

I'm being lazy this morning.   I don't have class until 11:30 but it's one of my long days that go until 2:30pm, didn't meet with dd since she asked to meet tomorrow, so I'm taking it slow and easy this morning.  My joints have been achy for the past week or so and I haven't been sleeping well.  Pretty sure it's due to all the sugary food I've been eating.   Baked goods in particular seem to cause achy joints.  But stuff like Nips candy don't.  It's so weird.

Morning. Pukey cat sounds like he might need further diagnostics.

I'm here. I wasn't around much yesterday because I was finishing up NaNoWriMo and then kind of goofed off for the rest of the day. I wrote over 150,000 words for the month of November, and I figure I earned a little goofing off time for that.

On to December and finishing all the things.
