I did not eat any of my placentas.  I did read about it when I was pregnant.

What a BOOYA to get!

People are not taking this thread seriously!

It was down for maintenance for a bit there, but I was in the Big City all afternoon. The kids had testing and I went to Lowe’s and ordered carpeting. We budgeted for it and all, and the existing carpet is gross, but.... it’s a lot of $$😩😩😩😩😩. And then I got livescanned for my new job and then, Costco.

Angi got the Booya/h.

A placental Booya/h.

I adopted all my kids so I didn’t have to worry about all that.

I know one person who had her placenta encapsulated.  Her mother is the one who encapsulated it for her -- and showed me pictures of the process.  Ick.

No, I did not eat my placenta, but I've been reading about it on the chat board for a couple days.  We always removed it from the stall after horses gave birth to keep them from eating it.

Why?

If I have another I can save the placenta if you want to try it.

I did tell ya'll that the state MVD was sued, and lost, right? Several different organizations, along with individuals (including a former mayor with his passport) that were denied driving credentials. Not even a Real ID, just a regular license. It was nuts here.

I did Jitterbug.  Lots of Jitterbug.  But I will tell you that my part is a piece of cake compared to what the flutes and clarinets have to play.  Oy veh!  The violins are struggling with The Cyclone (which is getting better) and Apple Throwing (which is still a disaster).  Two performances of The Wizard of Oz today, and then Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Good Morning!

Happy Wednesday!

I had a difficult time getting to sleep last night.  I ended up popping in a movie to try to get myself sleepy enough to get to sleep.  I got about a third of the way through The Hunt for Red October (in French) and crashed.

I would really like to go back to bed, but there's too much that needs to get done before lunch.

Good morning!  I slept well, although I got up to use the restroom and remembered I hadn't started the dishwasher.  So I did that and went back to sleep.

I don't remember my list from yesterday, but I think today will only consist of work, school, workout, housework, make grocery order.  I won't need to cook tonight, either.

Ds32 moved April 1 and I think I have cooked once, and that was only a pack of pork tenderloin.  Oh!  I did cook the bacon for broccoli salad and dh made the rest of the bacon breakfast for supper by cooking sausage and eggs.

I still need to get to the DMV and get dd an id.

Good morning. I've got a full day coming up: I want to power through another 100 pages of manuscript and find "the place" to add one little touch of scene that my agent wants. Then I have a synopsis to finish and send out to some kind people who have offered to read it. Plus, I stepped outside and two poems started filtering in, line by line, so I had to rush and open documents for them and start putting words down before they fly off like blue butterflies. Additionally, two more alpha readers have the first book of the new series I am writing. I'm not anxious--it's a first draft, and all of them need tons of work. But it's more I need to print this week for one reader. Best write that down so I don't forget it.

I have a river trip planned for Friday. I've got a document to write that I haven't even got more than a theme to build around, and I need all the inspiration I can get.

Susan, we have a wren nesting in a chair on the front porch. The chair belongs to DH. I asked him if he wanted to clear out the twigs when the birds started building. He said no. Let them raise a clutch--but only one! What do you want to bet we'll have baby birds all over the front porch this year? She has five eggs now and is sitting.

COFFEE!!!!~D

Good grief, I didn’t even know which day it was for a minute there. Wednesday. Yes!!! Humph Day!!!

Kids have Enrichment Academy. Older three are still testing there, Baby just has regular class. Since I got all my errands done, I may find a nice place and do some Latin, read a book and .... oh, I din’t know what else. The wind from yesterday is gone.

Tonight is the last Awana. I am glad. I get tired of it after a while.

We don’t have wrens. I love them. They are the sweetest little birds, but they don’t live in our area.

Our state DMV is in trouble, too. A bunch of honyacks that are running the place into the ground. I sent my renewal in 3 months before it was due and never got it. I had to make an appointment to go in and do it in person and they had the gall to try to charge me again, even though I was waving a copy of the cancelled check in front of their face. The dumb girl behind the counter didn’t know what I was talking about when I said, “you guys cashed my check, but I never got my license”.

Good morning!

I ESLed today. I will Spanish later.

Just to clarify, I only have a "driving authorization card," not a Real ID. My card says in bold letters across the top, "Not for Federal Purposes." Which is kind of insulting for various reasons. But, I'm working on something that just might work. I'll let you all know in 4-6 weeks. 😄 Don't worry, it's legal.

So, Gymnast's violin teacher wants her to practice all Twinkle variations in a row, building up little by little, for preparation to play longer songs. I told her I have to practice the same thing too or we can't have ice cream this weekend. So, she pushes me to practice! I haven't had a real practice in a long time. I was terrible! Gymnast really tried to maintain a smile on her face as encouragement. I got on my own nerves, lol! Back at it today.

So, Spanish class, grocery pick up, Gymnast's group violin practice, then writing later. We'll also get some school work in.

Did I mention she liked the part-day public school? It's 9:50a-2:20p Monday through Wednesday. I've already turned in the stuff to enroll her next school year.

Yeah. DMV. Enough said.  (Actually, I should mention that I am consistently amazed at the courteous and professional treatment that I have received every time that I have interacted with a state agency here. Even the Drivers License office. They transitioned to a new system last year, which was a NIGHTMARE. They wound up firing that company and completing re-doing it; also, a nightmare. HOWEVER, throughout the process, they were transparent about the problems, communicated openly with the public, and relaxed the rules and made accommodations for those negatively impacted. Seriously. 😳)

That's because of the new federal system. We have to get the star cards by October 2020, I think. And it's a nightmare.🙄

I'm brand new here. Hello, fellow classical educators!

This is clearly the most important thread, so I figured I'd start by posting here. 🙂

I have a 5 year old daughter. This morning, she donned a Gryffindor dress and robe, grabbed a wand, and proceeded to be the most focused homeschooling version of herself I've ever seen. Hermione gets stuff done. We took breaks for spell lessons here and there, during which I was schooled in how to properly pull off the "swish and flick" for Wingardium Leviosa (among other magical tasks). She was an excellent teacher. I hope Hermione shows up again.

Welcome!  Here is our theme song, written by various ITTers.  (You are welcome to add verses if so inclined.)

This is the thread that never ends,
It just goes on and on my friends.
People started posting not knowing what it was,
And they will keep on posting here forever just because...

This is the thread that never ends
You'd best come join it with your friends
'Cuz it will replace Facebook as the latest web-based craze
And everyone will post here instead for the rest of their days

This is the thread that's always there
They'll cheer you up so don't despair
The group is growing well as more people start checking in
And we'll keep sucking them in because our cheer is addictive

This is the thread that never ends
It's better than a Mercedes Benz
It helps with coffee withdrawal and other troubles, too
Eighteen hundred pages of friends all cheering for you

This thread keeps going on and on
with record-setting length and fun
It started forty-eight months ago from curiosity
and all the fun and frolic has shown this is the place to be

This is the thread that never ends...
And the place where one finds special friends,
the kind that have hearts that are strong and true
Yes, ITT ladies, I am talking to you!

This is the thread that never ends....
