I’m back. We had our homeschool Group Valentine’s Party. It was outside and the weather decided that the first week of February was far too early for spring, so in spite of The Sun, the wind was cold. And of course, I chose the wrong day to go off sugar. I sat and ate Lofthouse cookies all afternoon. While listening to my friends talk about how their kids eat kale and all that carp and I’m sitting here thinking, “i’m Lucky if I can even get my oldest to choke down 3 kernals of corn. He thinks French fries counts as a vegetable.†And I stuff another Lofthouse cookie into my mouth.😩

I used to go to a Catholic mom group but we started talking more about paleo this organic that than faith or kids or marriage...so one of the reasons I’m avoiding them. 👀. I mean, I get that most of them have health issues that they’re desperately seeking solutions for, but still. It gets one-uppy real fast. “My kids only have cereal on holidaysâ€. “My kids don’t even know what cereal is!â€

I’m bored and I want some cereal, preferably covered in melted marshmallows and butter.

Wow, I really overused "Oh, and" in that earlier post. #didntproofread

We all have our little habbits though. I can read ITT without looking at names or profile pictures.

Libby woke me up from my nap. Bailey had her big fat bunny butt in the bedroom doorway and Libby wanted to go by. Bailey wouldn’t move so Libby brushed past her and Bailey got mad and bit her. And Libby yipped. So much drama around here.

Poor Libby.

The Korean bowls were delicious! I put way less brown sugar, and can cut it even more next time. We also made roasted asparagus and bacon wrapped pickles. So much yumminess!

No, that's what I meant. It's for ITTers, families are optional. So we can have dinner together.

Ah, okay. I'd probably flunk that too, though. For instance, I was supposed to bake potatoes tonight. But DH didn't get home on time and I had to run to leave the boys with Nana so I could go to writers' meeting. And then that went over. I'm scarfing down potato soup and planning to hog the chocolates that one member gave us for Valentine's Day tomorrow. :drool5:

Oh yeah. I don’t put in all that sugar. Edited by Jean in Newcastle

DD8 hasn asking to go to the indoor playground for years. I finally caved. She's never allowed to ask again. She is the oldest child here by like 5 years.

Dd7 had part of a chocolate Easter bunny for snack.  It's been sitting in the pantry since last spring.   :svengo:

I updated my signature to reflect that dd9 is now dd10.

She is my only child who doesn't have a summer birthday, so I won't have to update again for a while.  :)

Dh just told me that he doesn’t really like the Korean beef bowls. Who asked him? Hrumph.

I'm tired.

I got to dance tonight; Dh didn't come with me this time (it's an Irish step dance class we usually go to together) but he stayed home to take care of the fussy baby so it was all good.

I'm going to be dreaming "tip down, tip down, treble-hop-back" all night.

Taking antibiotics for the first time in like 30 years, possibly more. My stomach decided to rebel. I never get sick and so to me this whole pain and tummy trouble thing is a horrible novelty. No bueno!

Make sure to eat before taking the antibiotics. IIRC. I threw up once while driving because of an antibiotic. I took it, and then as soon as I started to get nauseous, I ate something, but too late. With the rest of the pills, I ate first, and it went fine.

I made pan fried orange chicken.

Everyone liked it. Usually there are at least 1-2 complainers at any given meal, so I am keeping this unusually successful recipe. ðŸ˜

Our new mail carrier is super sweet but has some crazy piercings. I have a hard time keeping eye contact with her because I am so fascinated by her face. #hipsterproblems

I fall asleep watching the Olympics. Every.single.night.

I started out being not too excited, but we do watch a little every day. Watched men’s half-pipe this afternoon. Always impressed by Shaun White.

I’m so Sorry!! I echo Luuknam’s recommendation of taking it with food.

I did Latin and Greek. Ain’t going to bed any time soon. DS2 went to the Toby Mac Hits Deep Tour with his buddy and buddy’s parents in the Big City. So, while I would love to go to bed ..... uh, like now, it’ll be at least another hour or more till he gets home!!😩😩

The neighbors will be happy when Ds gets a new muffler on his car tomorrow. We have been waiting a month for the mechanic to get all the parts in.

Get this: I got the one dose kind and took it in water and had a big TexMex casserole meal. It worked on the infection nearly immediately, and in under 24 hours I barely had any symptoms (bladder infection). But now that the infection is practically gone, terrible gastro side effects.

Luckily I did not get dizzy. I prefer gastro issues to a bladder infection. It reminded me of that part of childbirth where you have to remember to breathe.

No and I need to. I will pick up some pickled things and plain yogurt with good biotics tomorrow.

Good morning, lovelies! Happy Valentine's Day! It's going to be a good day.

Today we are going to do our math and reading and handwriting. I also want to do writing and grammar and spelling, but we'll see how far we get. Read alouds will be courtesy of audiobooks due to Mama's sore throat, and will include SOTW vol 2 (I think we're on chapter 5) and Anne of Green Gables.

Stupid head cold won't go away.

We're making Leek and Parmesan Quiche, broccoli, and baked potatoes for Valentine's Day dinner. And brownies!

(No ITTers were harmed in the making of this dinner.)
