No adulting today. I forbid it.

Let's all take naps instead.

Hi, Renai! Nice to meet you.

Yay!  After my lunch is ready I'll go hide in my room, watching Amazon Prime on my tablet so the girls won't get distracted from their school work.

My parallel parking into a very tight spot on the street was a thing of beauty. A sight to behold. And yes, I’m bragging. Cuz I can.

I don't parallel park unless there are 2 or 3 open spots in a row.

My adulting this afternoon consists of having coffee and leftover birthday cheesecake and watching Netflix. I have just another hour of loafing time before needing to find Pantz.

Are those quotes in your signature supposed to be in the ITTisms?

I ordered another shutterfly freebie for a Christmas present! Go me!! Plus a 16x20 pic of dc to replace the one I have over the couch. Also free.

Is there a coupon for that?

Hey Renai, you also missed the secret ITT signature stuff. I don't think everyone has put secret stuff in their signatures, but some of us (like Slache, Jean, and AMJ) have.

Wait, we're supposed to be doing that?? I missed that memo. What kind of secret stuff?

The stuff in white.

Whatever you want. I put in some ITT stuff, and Jean joined in, and some of the others were rebels and put in other stuff, or didn't put in anything at all. I even came up with a Latin motto (courtesy of Google translate).

Celery likes his new clothes (arrived yesterday evening from Gymboree). Phew. He was upset after a computer problem messed up his flight in Burning Cargo, so I wasn't sure if showing him his new clothes would cheer him up or if he'd just complain about them all being terrible, but he thinks they're awesome (other than the tags - he hates the tags).

Uh.... Feeling really dumb here. Your signature is the place where we put all our kids and what their curriculum is, right?? So, where is the secret stuff?? I don't see it.

Oh, and they all fit, though the sleeves his knitted sweater are a bit long. So, I'm happy about that as well, since it'd been over a year since I'd ordered from them, so, I just kind of went "hm... probably a size M (7-8) or a size 8". And I was pretty much right. :)

You know how you can click and drag over an area, for example if you want to copy a block of text? When you do that, it changes the background color, so the white text will be visible.

Oh, and yes, the signature is the thing that has the kids curricula or w/e, so, for me, it's that block that says:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thundercliff Elementary

Illuminati Thread Trooper

Celery, August 2007, grade 5.

Broccoli, November 2010, grade 2/3.

Vēnī, vīdī, neglēxī.

NL is short for The Netherlands. I currently live in Western New York (WNY).

Who doesn't hate tags???

Oh. I forgot. *I'm* the one with sensory issues. Carry on.

I think he was mostly complaining about the price tags. I'm pretty sure that nobody likes those. He rarely complains about the normal tags.

I have a tremendous headache. Every sound hurts. I'm rather glad that the turtles are done with school for the day, because soup was becoming the default option.

So, is anyone interested in joining shutterfly, who isn't already a member? I need to invite someone new so we can get free photo books. I just need your email address.

Excellent plan! Paige, Jean - you ready with your essence of unicorn?

How can a state not have a lab?

It has one, just not one that performs that particular test. I was surprised too.

So, those blank lines in my signature aren't actually blank. They're just white on white.

I'm really really happy.  Our little pharmacy has ordered their seasonal offerings of Theo's drinking chocolate - which is only the best hot chocolate evah.  I got two boxes because dd says that she hates listening to me whine for most of the year after we've run out.

I planned next year. Drumroll, please...

Here's my plan for next year:

senior - Calculus - Derek Owens, Physics - either UMS or Derek Owens, English - at home or DE, history - at home, elective - maybe or maybe not

sophomore - English - possibly UMS, history UMS or TOG at home, math - Saxon algebra 1 at home, Science - Guest Hollow Anatomy (ish).  For foreign language she would like to start Japanese, which I have no resources for and I'm guessing Rosetta Stone would be abysmal.  So I don't know.

8th grader - outsource English and math and UMS, history at home, science - either at home or Derek Owens physical, Latin at home,

5th grader - everything at home.  CLE Math, maybe start Reading and Reasoning, maybe JAG for grammar, something for writing that I don't have to think about much - EIW or Beyond the Book Report, or a workbook and save those other things for 6th/7th/8th.  History and Lit, to be determined.

Here's my plan for next year:

Run off to the beach!

Went to the local nature center for a field trip today with our co op. It was lots of fun, and the kids were happy to be running around outside. I also ate too many potatoes when we came home, and now I'm too lazy to wash up after dinner.

I think so because what gets outsourced will be completely outsourced instead of hybrid-outsourced.  I'm tired of Challenge (and similar situations) where we follow someone else's plan, but I'm still the responsible teacher.  It puts all the angst on me and none of the flexibility.  (Sorry, should have had an ed po and a whine po.)

Which beach?

Can I come?

(((Critter)))

All ITT is welcome as long as they come alone and have their own place to stay.

Those have been there a while.  They are ITT quotes.  But there's a hidden part of the siggie, too.

Still no writing today. I remembered I had a critique to do, and now it's time to go to meeting.

Sigh.

I'm going to shut myself in a quiet room and write when I get home. Or go to bed and not worry about it.

I'm grouchy.

:grouphug:   Quite understandable!
